I live on the other side of town and usually shop at a different merchant, but what a difference when shopping at Big Y. Good value, better selection and much faster checkout. The pre-made foods/sandwiches are great, too. I’ll be back…

The cashier this morning was extremely rude. I told her have a nice day and she responded “I don’t care” in an aggressive tone. I would give 1 star but 2 stars only because the people working at the deli were amazing.

Stopped for dinner supplies. Seafood person was great friendly and helpful with my swordfish. The Butcher was great as well. Pointing out some great steaks

my wife ordered a sheet cake two weeks ago from BIG Y . she picked it up for a 50th anniversary wedding party for friends. well, it wasn't what she ordered , they failed to add the filling as requested. she contacted BIG Y. AMANDA listened to her complaint . I went to BIG Y today .I met AMANDA today . she remembered my wife's contact , and her name. she returned a portion of the money to the cc .. - AMANDA is the epitome of CUSTOMER SERVICE . we like the BIG Y in DERBY,CT . things happen - thank you. ~ JDS

Last week I had placed an order with our local Big Y Supermarket for the prepared Thanksgiving dinner; the fully cooked turkey breast and all the side dishes. The cost was $99.99. My husband picked up our order today and I cannot express how totally disgusted I am!! The photos on-line showed a beautifully cooked turkey breast; what we now have is a vacuum packaged turkey breast!! Oh yes, they did provide cooking instructions, but the whole reason for ordering this fully cooked dinner was so that I would not have to do the cooking!! The photos on-line looked beautiful; but that is not what we received!! The manager was of no help when I called the store; basically only saying that she is sorry I am unhappy!! So now I am stuck with this piece of meat and I need to figure out what to do with it!! In my opinion, this was false advertising!! Had I known, I never would have ordered it!! Oh, I went back on- line to show my husband what I ordered and of course, the photos have been removed from their website!! I definitely will never order from Big Y again!!! Happy Thanksgiving, all!!!
