Very interesting piece of history thats now a produce stand/market. It was once Bergman's Museum of Natural History, built in 1955 and opened in 57. Apparently the museum held the mans personal collection from overthe years, and in 93 the family sold most of the items and closed it. But there are still a few amazing pieces of natural history left on the walls that are not for sale. It is now run by a hispanic lady that says that all the other items are gone. But she has a nice produce stand set up there and the inside is like a antique store. Very interesting road side find. Yes that is a dinosaur on top and I have no idea why.

This is a great place to stop if you are in the area. Family owned and operated. Fresh produce at a great price. Also has a small antique shop and the items are fun to browse. Restroom for customers only. Parking right off the highway.

Yes I visited the Bergmans Museum in the 1950-1960, very interesting place. I believe if you look at the building is was built by Weir Bros. Adobe Construction who were from Escondido. A real part on 1950 history.

We stopped to check this place out and the lady working there was very very nice. We ended up buying? orange,'s,?lemon's,?avocado,'s,? tomato's, limes and chilies. The prices here were unbelievable everything was fresh we couldn't have bought it and regular store for what we paid here. If y'all are traveling on the 371 from Palm Springs through Anza just past the Cahuilla Casino y'all will find this little gem stop and check the place out you won't be sorry. It will blow your mind?it sure did ours ?.

It's a historical landmark, has fresh fruit and some veggies, eggs, lots of old-timey paraphernalia which I'm not sure is for sale, looks like old Adobe brick building. Prices are okay, service is friendly. Hablo Espanol
