Estamos comprando en este instante a las 10:00 am, hemos echo la cola dos veces porque la prenda(poulver) que deseabamos estaba en un lugar muy alto, y el joven que estaba en la caja de cobro no nos podía pasar, por otra parte, su trabajo muy lento en extremo y con una cara muy desmotivante, lo que nos hizo pensar, en que no es motivado de ninguna manera en este lugar, un lugar tan bello y hermoso, merece una atención responsable, rápida, eficiente y adecuada.

Alvin's Island has a nice selection of stuff for men, women, and children. We found some great Destins hoodies for $40. And sime T shirts. They also have key chains, beach toys, and many types of Souvenirs. Very cluttered inside with hallways so narrow your constantly knocking stuff shalves and hangers. Not very organized at all.

Went in tonight to get a magnet for a souvenir for our family who visited all the way from Canada. They have never been to Florida before so this was a first time experience.

Unfortunately we walked in right as they were closing, maybe 10 mins before, so we tried to be mindful and find what we needed and check out. We picked our magnets and made our way to the front.

After looking at the magnets and finding what we liked we tried to quickly look at whatever was around just to see what they had, a sales associate, I think, popped around the corner and told us not to come any closer because this part of the store was “recovered” for tomorrow. We turned around and headed for the register at this point.

The so called ”manager” Silva Was at the register and she was refusing to take cash. We had 2 magnets and a small bag of candy. Less than $20.

She was telling me it was due to lack of business and due to corporation that they could not accept cash. There were other employees who were standing around the register area who kept saying “this is why we don’t let people inside” like I was at fault for trying to give my money to a business.

I have never been told this in my life. Living in Florida for over 10 years living in Destin have been denied cash at a souvenir shop. I ended up paying card for my magnets and candy but the customer service experience we received was not only disturbing but flat out disrespectful. Even after arguing with her at the register over why it was absurd she was refusing cash, my receipt was timed stamped at 21:57 army time which is 9:57pm. The store closes at 10 pm.

If our business was not welcomed it should have been stated when we walked in the door or simple said “we only accept card at this hour”.

Not only should corporate be ashamed of the customer service experience my family received tonight but the lack of intelligence and respect when it comes to people you have in a management position.

We visit Florida often the staff at Alvin's are very rude. I will stop going here. We were out shopping and I was on the phone and my husband pulled into Alvin's before I could stop him. I said they're always rude here but we'll give it a try, the female workers were rude, the male was friendly. I bought a hat and will not go back. We visited other shops and bought stuff. Sun Sations had much friendly staff and better quality t-shirts.

Paid 24.00 for a pair of shorts that was labeled XL on the dangling tab, got home, shorts didn't fit, inside tab said they were medium, so returned shorts with receipt and the tags but all tags were removed. And she REFUSED EXCHANGE OR REFUND. I threw the shorts behind the counter and told her to keep them, (shorts never touched her)as I walked out she chased me down and punched me in the back...my wife stopped me from calling the police for assault! If they cared enough to label the product right...we wouldn't have this situation! How hard would it be to replace the tags, which I had with me, and exchange the right size?

The rude lady working the front had no idea what they even have.
Just left this location only wanting a pair of sandals. She immediately treated me like I stole them or swapped Tags around… when the tag and holder were attached to the pair when I saw them on the rack,

Have fun shopping if you just want to feel like you’re a thief.

Acting like they don't carry the Brand when they clearly have signs all over with that brand..
