I have used A Shade Above for many years! When we moved away, I go back just to get the most beautiful shades! There is simply not anyone better from which to get shades because no one knows better how to accent a lamp then these gentlemen! Service is always personal, friendly, professional and the shades are always right for the lamps. Beautiful, unusual, highest quality finials, too. Just got three older MCM abacus lamps and going down to West Palm with them for shades and finials. Wouldn't trust anyone else! Honest people with a great business that has been a staple in WPB for decades. Their selection of antique lamps us to die for!

@VictoriaKing You were not- She was not the customer was not part of transaction in anyway and did not purchase items she tried to return. Gerrit was the purchaser. He was fully informed that without the lamps a correct size and style could not be achieved. That its guessing whether or not that the shades would work and informed him no return on any shades sold without the lamps. Furthermore we allowed the shades to be taken without payment with the condition that photo of the check in full be generated and copy be emailed to verify the payment and FedEx overnite. No refund no return policy for 21 yrs.
Gerrits reply was that customer has so much money that if the choice was wrong the customer wouldn't mind and use them somewhere else. The shades were needed because photographers were at the house and the photo shoot was under way. Again I reiterated no return policy. He agreed. Gerrit praised me and told me I was his savior, saving the day and being his hero. At the end of the day he returned to the shop. She came in after him and said she was the project manager and I responded that she needed to be in front of the selection and purchase policy process not a subordinate. That the agreement Gerrit understood was final.
They left leaving 3 shades and and I said 25% restocking fee would be incured. By a pardon of the policy
A FedEx overnite payment was received without 25% restocking fees included. We contacted Stephen Sills interior designs office on Madison Avenue in NYC, Kim informed me that the restocking fee was on it's way.. still waiting.

True artisans in design of new and re-created lamp shades. Timothy was fantastic with an existing shade that I needed re-constructed to fit a particular base. I am very impressed by the attention to detail. Timothy went above and beyond my expectations. Worth every $ spent with them. Will definitely use Timothy and his father again. Professional, knowledge and very experienced.

Literally the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Unprofessional and changed prices and policy at a whim. Refused to accept a return of perfect shades still in plastic and was completely rude. Will never go back and suggest no one EVER go.
