This is pure Arkansas beauty. We're in our late 50s, and the trail was tough because of our sedentary lifestyle, but the views are spectacular. The camping area is always nicely maintained, and it's just an all-around relaxing place to spend some time.

Absolutely beautiful. This is a sweet little out of the way place to just get some much needed R&R. The only down side is if you tent camp there are no showers on site. That being said there are plenty of truck stops along the way that have showers available for a nominal fee. But with this inconvenience comes the beauty and peace. The camp host on duty are very friendly as are all the travelers you will meet there. Plenty of trails from the very easy to the much experienced hiker. This out of the way hide away far out met my expectations. We look forward to going back.

Beautiful and challenging steep trail for an old guy like me. Very scenic and most of the trail is shaded. I encountered deer, lizards, birds, and many kinds of mushrooms. You will also see many types of colorful rocks covered with moss and or lichen. At the top of the trail is a road with a covered seating area made out of huge rocks that helped cool me off before heating back down the trail. At the base you will find running water from a creek to cool off your feet after a long hike.

Took an evening hike and a morning run on this one. Many ways to make a 3-6 mile loop using this trail. It’s a bit steep but plenty of switchbacks to make it manageable. If you’re out of shape or from a flat place like us, it might be rough - take it slow and bring some water.

Nice, quiet trail accessible from Gulpha Gorge Amphitheater. The trail is a bit steep at points, but levels out if you head away from Goat Rock. If you watch carefully you might find an old USGS survey marker in the woods.

Great hike! The hike is best taken by parking at the campground site and going up the mountain side to the vista point. It was refreshing, not that moderate to strenuous. It was not bad at all. Plan your next trip!
