I have lived in The Villages for 7.5 years and have just purchased another house. I have used Great Lakes Tile and Carpet 5 times. Yesterday they completed my latest installation. My installer was DAVEY SMITH. This gentleman was THE BEST contractor that I have ever used in The Villages - and with 6 properties, I’ve used many. He showed up on time, was very specific on the services he would provide, cleaned up extremely well, and stayed late to get the job done. He worked alone and I can tell you he is THE BEST.

Do Not Buy carpet from this company! Sales will misinform you, complaint was handled with year long run-around and rude staff. In addition, they don't stand by thier products or warranty. Take your business elsewhere and avoid Tom Urban and all his associates!

Update:
As one can see per Tom's response below, he continues to be ignorant and validates my review. By no means was good faith involved in this transaction and it took his team and a third party carpet analysts two plus years to FINALLY conclude that the carpet (Mohawk) had a manufacturer defect. When I was ready to have the carpet replaced, he wouldn't replace it.

Great Lakes Carpet and Tile did a phenomenal job carpeting our home. Our salesperson Tricia was very helpful and knowledgeable in assisting us in the selection of style and color carpeting that we wanted. Jose and Antonio were excellent, experienced installers who were very careful in moving and protecting our furniture and tile. We highly recommend Great Lakes!

I recently had my LVT and ceramic tile installed. I was educated by Nick so that I was able to make the right decision on my tile choices - both in product and color. The installation wasbdone professionally and was flawless. I love my new floors. I highly recommend this company.

We had new wood flooring installed today in 3 bedrooms.. cannot say enough about how professional, clean, neat and thoughtful the installers were. From our first experience with Trish in the showroom who helped with our selection to the installers today, it was an awesome experience. The installers were highly-qualified, respectful and conscientious. They treated our home with respect, were clean, efficient and got the job done in less time than anticipated. I am so pleased, not just with the quality of my floors, but more so the quality of service and attention. I did some shopping around before settling on Great Lakes Carpet & Tile. I started with them and ultimately went back. Jimmy was amazing! Knows and understands the products and was able to answer all of my questions. He came out to our house to take measurements and was able to give us a price up front. We were scheduled within 2 weeks to have our project completed. The team of 3 men that showed up at my home the first day were absolutely incredible! Ronaldo spoke with me, confirmed the scope of work and allowed me to walk him through any concerns I had. Again, answering all of my questions and putting me at ease. These men were respectful of my time (as I was working from home), and my furniture (the few big items we weren’t able to move). They didn’t stop for continuous smoke or cell phone breaks, they asked to use my garage for lunch break and powered through to get the job done in just a couple of days. I couldn’t be happier with the final product and the overall experience!!! 5 STARS!!!!
