Bought a screen door at this place. Picked it out in person, paid for it over the phone, since my handyman was picking up, Never got a receipt.
When he picked it up , the screen was torn, I was told by Aaron Dempsey that the screen was going to be repaired before it was picked up, I waited 1 week before having it picked up by my handyman, and the screen was not repaired as promised, by Aaron Dempsey one of the owners.

A few days later, I went back into the store and asked for a receipt, for my payment of $75.24.

Aaron Dempsey & Bill Grey, His cousin, The other owner, met me with anger, that I had DARED to post online, the fact that I was delivered a screen door that was damaged, After being promised it would be repaired before pick up.

Somehow they don't seem to understand that Social media is both for complimenting service and for letting the public know when you've had a bad experience, which I did! Myself, a senior citizen,
Who was raised in a time and a place, where you expect to get what you paid for, even when money is tight. Not to mention respect for your elders.

So as I waited for him to pretend to print out a receipt, He told his cousin Bill Grey to call the sheriff.

Thinking they were going to intimidate me, WRONG!

Finally the sheriff showed up. I told him I was not afraid to meet with the sheriff.I am the honest consumer not these backwards business owners.

So I got a No Trespass order from the sheriff.

WHO IN THE WORLD WOULD EVER 5HINK OF RETURNING TO SPEND ANOTHER PENNY IN A STORE LIKE THAT?
WHERE I WAS TREATED SO DISRESPECTFULLY, BY THESE 2 BIT, SMALL TIME HUCKSTERS?
NOT ME!!
There are too many other hardware stores in the area to spend my precious money?

Not a giant hadwarre store, but extremely well-stocked with good pricing. They also make keys and sell fishing tackle. Always friendly and knowledgeable about every item they sell. Saved me from having to make a long trip out of town several times. Family owned and operated in Carrabelle for decades.

What’s the BEST part of a small town? Supporting local businesses. Gander’s is locally owned and operated by two brothers that have their towns interest at heart. Customer service was spot on, store was clean and well organized. Thank you Aaron for helping us find the parts we needed, when we come back through, we will definitely be stopping by.

Fantastic service from the shop keeper. Every single time you walk in the door, he immediately stops what he's doing and asks how he can help you. That's increasingly rare in stores, so is much appreciated, and why I always visit Ganders first over the town's other hardware shop.
