I worked with Sheila Startz of Custom Window Wear on designing the window treatment in my one bedroom apartment. Because of its small size, the appearance of the windows was especially important to me. Sheila approached the task as a design professional, paying special attention to my ideas for the appearance of the windows as well as to how the treatment would function as a means of assuring privacy while allowing light to penetrate.

I highly recommend Sheila as a design consultant for window treatments. I plan to make use of her services again in the near future as I elaborate on the original window treatment.

I worked with Shiela to purchase window treatments for my moms unit at Windcrest, and the whole experience was fabulous! I was not really sure what I was even looking for, all I knew was that I wanted the treatments to be remote controlled so my mom wouldn’t have to reach. Shiela met me in the unit and used her talent to evaluate the space and the light, and discuss my mom’s preferences. She quickly had 2 samples that spoke to her, which made my decision very easy. She communicated clearly about the timeline, the cost was clearly outlined, the installation was timely, and the installer worked with my mom to teach her how to use the remotes. The result: gorgeous blinds which are easy to use and perfectly support both darkness and light. The blinds are my favorite feature of the house! The cellular shades I ordered for our new apartment are just what we needed! They were installed before we moved in, and the top down, bottom up feature works beautifully for us in our 6th floor apartment. We needed service a couple of times in the past 18 months and we were cared for almost immediately and one shade was replaced with a new matching one. I love the remote control option we chose for our living room - no worry about climbing around furniture.
