Jerry did a fantastic job on our retro chairs. We get so many compliments on how they look. I couldn’t be happier! I attached pictures, one of the old cracked chair and two of the great work he did.

I love Style Trend. They do what they promise quickly and affordably. I’ve used them several times, never have I been disappointed! I highly recommend them.

Insanely slow shop, overpriced and substandard craftsmanship. Not a great experience overall. Took almost 3 months from providing the deposit to receiving the finished product back (couch, loveseat & chair). The owner promised us a significantly faster turnaround. The workmanship is really marginal & sloppy (tons of obvious flaws, poor stitching & wrinkles). Seems like their shop may be struggling to stay afloat. You can find better.

Bottom line- the service was slow and overpriced, the quality poor considering the amount of time spent and the communication was nothing short of rude. Save yourself the poor treatment and take your furniture to another shop.

The details - I had the most horrible experience dealing with Style Trend Upholstery. Not only will I never being doing business with them again, for the first time I feel the need to notify others of the horrible service I received there and discourage any business for them. My aunt offered to have a chair reupholstered for me as a housewarming gift. I dropped off the chair on 9/24/2013 and went back early the next week to communicate my fabric choice. At this time I also communicated that I would like the chair’s wooden legs refinished. I was notified that it could take 3 weeks to finish the chair because they’d have to send the legs to another shop to get refinished. Great, call me when it is done. Over a month goes by and I hear nothing, I call back and they haven’t even started on the chair, but the fabric was ordered. Another month goes by and I call again, they had to send the fabric back due to a flaw and expected to have the fabric in by the end of the year. In all this time, Style Trend never called me to update me on the status on the chair, nor did they return my messages. I only got to speak to someone if I called during their limited business hours and someone happened to pick up. At the end of January, I received a call that the chair was done and the credit card on file was charged. I sent someone else to pick it up, as I was 9 months pregnant and had the stomach flu, but wanted to have it for an upcoming gathering at my house since it wasn’t completed in time for my housewarming. Jerry was rude to the person I sent to pick it up when she questioned the quality of the work done and when she commented on the fact that when she walked in the chair was covered with the old remnants of another job they were working on. When I called to address the issue Jerry was rude to me and even said that the person I had sent was never welcome back. The chair was left at the shop because of the poor work – scrapes on the refinished legs and the bottom of the chair was not sufficiently finished. I then left five voice messages over the next week and a half to Jerry checking to see if I should go look at the chair or if they were taking care of the problems before I received a call back him. And when I did get a call back, again, Jerry was very rude. I took my husband with me to pick up the chair because Jerry had been so hostile in his communication with me. I let Jerry know I was coming to pick up the chair and he made a point to not be at the store during that time. I will say, the two gentlemen that were there were polite and even helped to load the chair into our vehicle. It seems to me the trouble with Style Trends is Jerry. Four and a half months after dropping off the chair, I am glad to be done with the project and thrilled to say I will never be dealing with Style Trends again.

I wish I'd seen Dawn Forkner's review before I took two chairs to Style Trend. We also had a lot of unreasonable delay and lack of communication from Style Trend. I dropped off two chairs to be reupholstered, and was told it would take a couple of weeks. Every month or two I'd call for status update (no calls from them) and get a different excuse. We'd finally reached the point at over nine months (yes, we're very patient and don't like to complain) that I planned to just pick up the chairs and get our money back if they weren't ready to actually do the work. This time the excuse was that, while they had the material in, they were waiting to hear from us. There was no reason they should have been waiting for us, as it was the material we'd picked out, and there were no questions. They'd also managed to lose the invoice, so they didn't have our phone number. In all of the times we called, they apparently never thought to write down our number somewhere else. On this final call, they said it would be done by the end of the week, and this time for once it really was. My wife went with me to pick up the chairs and pay the remainder, and they looked very good. The actual work, once finally done, looked professional and neat. Unfortunately, on getting them home and starting to attach them to the frames (we just took in the L shaped parts, which screw onto a wooden and metal frame), I found that they'd upholstered over two out of the four screw holes on each chair. These were not just holes in wood or something like that, but actual embedded metal pieces with threaded holes. Why would anyone upholster over that? Have they never seen a chair before? I had to feel for where the holes were and cut through the cloth to get the screws in. I've had some experience with two other local upholsterers, and am starting to wonder if there are *any* decent upholstery shops around here. At some point, it makes sense to just do some YouTube research, buy the material, and do the job yourself. Now we just get to wait and see if the new material is as durable as claimed, or if (like with the last shop) it wears out in months vs. the original material's years, and we're back to searching for a competent local shop or doing our own work.

For once I'm happy to say I did not check reviews before I called Style Trend. We have an old (heirloom) wing-back chair that needed fabric upgrade. They helped me select the perfect fabric and recovered the chair in just two weeks. They even picked up and delivered it (no charge) in plastic and it appeared brand new!! Thank you, Linda

Fast service. Everything delivered exactly the way i ordered. I had used a different upholstery service about a year ago (i won't say which) and they took 12 weeks and then after that, another 3 weeks to finally get me my order. And it took a multitude of calls. These guys turned everything around in 2 weeks with just one call. I live right close to them which made it even better. I would definitely recommend them.

I Emailed Jerry for a quote to reupholster my sofa. I have an older LazBoy leather sofa and wanted it done in silver/grey cloth. Jerry brought out samples to my home and assisted me and my wife with fabric selection. Once we made a selection he gave us a very detailed explanation of the process from scheduling to actually picking up the sofa to perform the work (yes he actually picked up and redelivered the sofa at no additional cost). We got our sofa back in about 8 days and could not be happier with the service and quality of workmanship. 5 stars all the way and we will definatly recommend Styletrend and we will be back with some patio cushions soon.
